The HDS3.2 Subwoofer Series improves on its legendary predecessor in terms of build, sound quality, heat dispersion, and frequency response. The dual magnet motor features a bumped t-yoke for greater travel, better heat resistance, and improved performance.
A cast aluminum frame provides value in terms of heat sinking, increased excursion and a longer speaker life than stamped steel baskets allow. The subwoofer’s improved three piece spider system is softer than previous models for enhanced performance and lower tuning.
Upgrading from the HDS3.1 series subwoofer, you’ll notice a more robust frame with greater venting space for heat sinking but the improvements to the previous line do not end there. The HDS3.2 has an F(s) of 28.26 Hz, as opposed to the 35 Hz rating of the HDS3.1 and can handle the same amount of phenomenal power as its predecessor.
The Heavy Duty Street 3.2 Series dual voice coil Subwoofer is built to handle 1200 Watts RMS Power, with 2400 Watts Peak Power and is available in a 15 inch model. It can be installed in a sealed, ported or band-pass enclosure and is suitable for daily driving in your car stereo when paired with the appropriate S-Series or Q-Series monoblock car amplifier.
An Extended Range of Motion (EROM) profile surround design keeps your cone diameter as large as possible while allowing for long, controlled car speaker excursion.
The EROM profile reduces mass over rubber surrounds and inner tube surrounds- with nearly parallel walls and a half-round top, meaning your new subwoofer is self supporting. This feature helps control the force of moving mass and enables the coil to track incoming signals with greater accuracy. The EROM profile gives you more cone area, greater stiffness, and lower mass… Less mass is loud and fast!
Like the HDS3.1, the HDS3.2 subwoofer sports a 3” diameter, four layer copper dual voice coil with a conical back plate for long distance travel. Order your HDS3.2 in 15 inch size to enjoy greater sound quality and an elevated listening experience from your car stereo.
Black electroplated top and bottom plates ensure reliable performance and power handling, while a vented back plate keeps your coil cool and decreases turbulence in the coil gap.
The HDS3.2 has a non-pressed, fiber added cone for maximum rigidity and long life. With available Dual 2 Ohm and 4 ohm configurations and 10 AWG push terminals, installing this subwoofer will be a breeze, even wiring in parallel or wiring in series with other subwoofers!
