How fast will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed on a business day usually leave our warehouse within 1–2 business days. You’ll get a tracking email as soon as the label is created. Ground delivery is typically 1–5 business days depending on your distance from Georgia.

Do you ship outside the United States?

The website ships to US addresses only. For Canada, Mexico and international orders, find a dealer near you or contact us for a quote.

What payment methods do you take?

All major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link. Want to split it up? Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay are available at checkout — pick “pay later” and you’ll see your options with no impact to your credit score to check eligibility. See Financing.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is collected on orders shipped to Georgia only. Orders to other states are not taxed by us.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Call us at (470) 766-1443 as soon as possible. If the order hasn’t been pulled for shipping we can change or cancel it. Once it has shipped, it falls under the normal return policy.

My package arrived damaged — what now?

Take photos of the box and the product before doing anything else, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Damage claims go through the carrier, and the photos are what gets them approved quickly. Don’t throw away the packaging until the claim is closed.

Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery to return a product. Restocking fees apply: 10% for new, unopened items; 15% for opened but unused; 20% for used items confirmed to be in working order. Return shipping is paid by the customer. Refunds are issued after the item is received and checked — allow 3–5 business days for inspection plus your bank’s processing time. Full policy: Shipping & Returns.

How long is the warranty?

SoundQubed products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the original retail purchase (subwoofers, amplifiers, speakers, components). The warranty is for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. At our discretion we repair or replace any part found to be defective.

What is NOT covered by the warranty?
  • Burnt or open voice coils (these are caused by clipping / over-powering, not defects)
  • Customer abuse, competition use, or power beyond the product’s rated RMS
  • Improper installation or wiring below the amplifier’s rated minimum impedance
  • Physical damage, water damage, or modified products
  • Products bought used or from unauthorized sellers

If your issue isn’t covered we can usually still fix it — reconing a sub is far cheaper than replacing it.

How do I start a warranty claim?

Fill out the Technical Support form with the product, serial number, where you bought it and what happened. We’ll troubleshoot with you first; if the product needs to come back we’ll send a return authorization and instructions. Please don’t ship anything before you get that authorization — unauthorized returns can’t be processed.

Does buying from Amazon or eBay affect my warranty?

Products sold by SoundQubed or an authorized dealer carry the full warranty wherever you bought them. Products from unauthorized resellers or bought used are not covered. If you’re unsure, send us the seller name and we’ll check.

Do you offer recone / repair service?

Yes. We recone most SoundQubed subwoofers and can service amplifiers. Submit a support request and select “Requesting repair / recone” — we’ll quote it before any work is done. Recone kits for several models are also sold in the store for DIY repairs.

Tech & Troubleshooting

My amplifier goes into protect mode. Why?

Protect mode is the amp protecting itself. The usual causes, in order:

  • Low voltage — measure at the amp terminals with the engine running while playing bass. Below ~12 V, do the Big 3 upgrade, check your ground, and consider a high-output alternator or a second battery.
  • Impedance too low — run your setup through the Ohm Load Calculator. A load under the amp’s rated minimum will trip protect.
  • Heat — give the amp airflow; don’t bury it under carpet or in a sealed cubby.
  • A short — a speaker wire strand touching the chassis or a damaged voice coil.
How do I set my gain correctly?

Turn bass boost to 0 and the subsonic filter on. With the head unit at about 75% volume and EQ flat, play a test tone (40–50 Hz for subs) and raise the gain until you see/hear clipping, then back it off slightly. If you have a multimeter, match the amp’s output voltage to √(rated RMS × ohm load) — for example 1,000 W at 1 Ω ≈ 31.6 V. An oscilloscope or clip-detector is best. The gain is not a volume knob — too high is how coils get burnt.

What ohm load should I wire my subs to?

Match the amp: wire for the lowest impedance the amplifier is rated stable at (that’s where it makes full power) and never below it. Our Ohm Load Calculator shows every combination for your sub count, voice coils and coil impedance. For most SoundQubed monoblocks that means a 1 Ω final load; for class-D amps rated at 0.5 Ω you can go lower.

Sealed or ported enclosure?

Ported is louder and more efficient at the tuning frequency — the choice for SPL and most daily-driver bass heads. Sealed is more accurate, smaller, and more forgiving of power. Every SoundQubed sub has recommended box volumes and tuning on its product page and in Product Docs; stick close to them. Read our guide: Sealed vs. Ported.

What is the “Big 3” and do I need it?

The Big 3 upgrades the three main charging-system wires — alternator-to-battery positive, battery negative to chassis, and engine block to chassis — to heavy gauge (0 or 4 AWG). It’s the cheapest fix for dimming lights, low voltage and amps dropping into protect, and we recommend it for anything over ~1,000 W RMS. Big 3 explained.

How do I tell if a voice coil is burnt?

Disconnect the sub and measure each coil’s resistance. A healthy coil reads a little under its nominal rating (a D2 coil ≈ 1.5–2 Ω). 0 Ω = shorted; infinite / “OL” = open. A burnt smell or scratching when you gently push the cone confirms it. Burnt coils come from clipping/over-powering and aren’t a warranty defect, but we can recone the sub.

Do subwoofers need a break-in period?

Yes — the suspension (spider and surround) loosens over the first 10–20 hours of play. Run the sub at moderate volume with the gain set conservatively during that period, then do your final tuning. A sub will typically play a little lower and louder after break-in.

Can I run two different subs or amps together?

Mixing subwoofer models on one amp is not recommended — different sensitivities and impedances mean one sub does most of the work and the load math gets unpredictable. If you must, keep them in separate enclosure chambers and confirm the final load with a multimeter. Running two identical amps “strapped” is fine on models that support it; check the manual.

What wire gauge do I need?

Rule of thumb for OFC copper: up to ~1,000 W RMS → 4 AWG; 1,000–2,500 W → 1/0 AWG; above that, dual 1/0 runs or 2/0+. Keep the ground as short and the same gauge as the power wire, and always fuse the power wire within 18″ of the battery. Our Accessories section has wire and install kits.

Choosing Gear

Which series is right for me?
  • HDB — budget-friendly daily bass that still hits hard.
  • HDS — our most popular line: strong daily-driver and entry-competition subs.
  • HDX — high-excursion, high-power subs for serious SPL and demo builds.
  • F / C Series amps — full-bridge monoblocks and compact class-D for most builds.
  • Q Series amps — flagship power for competition systems.
  • BG Series — compact amps and speakers made for baggers and motorcycles.

Browse by series, or read the system-matching guide.

How much power should I give my sub?

Aim for an amp whose rated RMS at your final ohm load is between the sub’s rated RMS and about 25% over it, with the gain set properly. Under-powering with a clipped signal is more dangerous than slightly over-powering with a clean one. RMS is the number that matters — ignore “peak” ratings. RMS vs. peak explained.

What size subwoofer should I get?

It depends on space, music and goals: 8–10″ for tight, musical bass in small spaces; 12″ is the all-round sweet spot; 15–18″ for maximum output and low-end extension where you have the trunk room. Read our sizing guide.

Do you make recommended box designs?

Recommended sealed and ported volumes plus port tuning are listed on each subwoofer page and in Product Docs. For full cut-sheets or a custom design for your vehicle, contact tech support with the sub model and the space you have available.
