N.B.A.C.: Get Loud with the National Bass Association Comp

If you live for the moment the meter jumps and the whole car flexes, there's an organization built for you. N.B.A.C. — the National Bass Association Comp — is a car audio SPL competition series where the bass hits hard, the lanes stay fun, and everybody's treated like family. We're proud to support it.

Built by a Competitor, for Competitors

N.B.A.C. was founded in 2024 by Davy Well, a car audio veteran whose roots in the sport run deep. Davy started competing in bass competitions back in 1994, ran with MECA from 1998, and spent years judging Basswars in Middle Tennessee before hanging up his own competition gear in 2022. When he launched N.B.A.C., he brought all of that experience — and a clear philosophy: support those who support you. The result is an organization where, in Davy's words, "fun times are in the lanes and good times with a family feeling. Let's get loud."

A Class for Every Build

One of the things that makes N.B.A.C. stand out is how much room there is to compete, no matter what you're rolling. The org runs a deep lineup of SPL classes organized by build style and score range, so you're always going up against systems in your own lane:

  • Consumer Street — Basic, Semi Pro, and Pro, for daily drivers with the interior intact and no cutting
  • Advance No Wall — Novice through Pro, allowing seat removal behind the B-pillar
  • Pro Wall — Novice through Pro, for the serious wall builds
  • Trunk — Basic and Semi Pro, for trunk cars keeping it clean

Beyond the standard classes, N.B.A.C. keeps it interesting with specialty formats like Port Battle, Stand and Pound, and the no-frequency-cap Hardcore X Burp, plus music-based classes like Whirlwind and even an open category for motorcycles, golf carts, and power wheels. And for those who want to settle it head-to-head, there's Grudge Wars — Broke, Street, Modified, and Extreme divisions ranked by cone area, so it comes down to who really brought the most.

A Full Season of Bass

N.B.A.C. isn't a one-off — it's a full points season with events running across Tennessee, Kentucky, and Iowa. From Freezefest and Spring Fling to the 12 Volt Mega Showdown, Bass Battle, Red White Boom, and beyond, competitors chase points at 1x and 2x events all year long, working toward the Championship Finals, set for September 25–27, 2026, in Ashland City, TN — with the next season kicking off right on its heels. The org also tracks Top 5s and World Records, so the best of the best always have something to shoot for.

Family Feeling, Serious Bass

What keeps people coming back to N.B.A.C. isn't just the competition — it's the culture. It's an organization that runs on community, good vibes, and zero drama, where newcomers and record-holders share the same lanes and everybody's welcome. Whether you're setting your first meter reading or chasing a world record, N.B.A.C. is where you come to get loud.
